DIY: school edition

Hello, beautiful people. Its me again to share a super EASY and ADORABLE diy with you.

Warning: this will probaby sound really cheesy!
Personally, one of the things I hate the most about going to school is the ugly school supplies. I mean, sure you can buy the cute notebooks and pencils. But why? So you can have the same One Direction pencil case as everyone else? I don’t know about you, but I’d rather pass on that. I was notorious at my school for decorating everything (and I mean EVERYTHING). I bedazzled my calculator and notecard boxes, used glitter and stickers on my binders, and decorating my locker with crazy magnets and pictures, inside and out.

So without rambling on any further, here is my DIY for you; cute homemade (but not preschool looking) notebooks. You can do what I did and create a geometric design, a beauty collage, or a tumblr inspired notebook, or you can create something entirely your own!

-notebooks (simple spiral ones work great)
-colored paper or scrapbook paper
-old magazines, pictures, printed out quotes, etc.
-glue stick
-contact paper

-open the cover of the notebook and lay it cover-side up
-apply a moderate layer of glue from edge to edge of the cover
-apply the colored paper to the cover (it should be a little longer and wider than your cover
-fold the corners of the paper over the inside of the cover and glue them down
-(heres the fun part) cut out magazine pictures, quotes, or find other flat items to decorate your new notebook with. Make it unique, like you:)
-once you’ve arranged your decorations, gently glue them down
-now cut out a piece of contact paper and apply it the same way you did the colored paper
-viola! you’ve just created the most beautiful custom notebooks. Now the whole world can see a little piece of you’re personality on your gorgeous school supplies.

I need some input! From YOU

Another night of no sleep. This seems like a convenient time as ask a few questions!

How often should I blog? Once a month? Once a week? Every 12 hours? Help me out here! Lol

What are some topics you would enjoy reading about? Do you like reading about skin or hair or nails or maybe something completely different, like books or DIY projects?

How much personal information should I put on here? Is it dangerous?

Who are YOUR favorite beauty bloggers?

Thanks lovelies 🙂

Let’s get to know each other:)

Hey there, whoever you are, maybe I’m just talking to myself. I’m not sure if anyone will even read this, but this blog is going to be fun anyways.

I thought that if anyone was going to read my blog, then I should properly introduce myself (without revealing too much personal information for obvious safety reasons). The entire purpose of this blog is purely for fun. I enjoy writing, especially about things I feel passionately about, and I hope that someone out there enjoys reading it.

I’m a 2014 high school graduate from a small private school in a small town. I’m talking like a tiny school! There were only 8 seniors in my class. I had a VERY strict English teacher all four years of high school, and I believe that she is the reason why I love writing. Maybe I’m not good at it, but I love it.

Along with graduating from high school, I also graduated from a cosmetology school and have recently earned my cosmetology license.

I’m not going to even pretend that my cosmetology license means I’m smarter than anyone else who blogs about beauty, because I’m sure they’ve done their research. And I won’t pretend to have all the answers or be a genius. But I will say, I’m not a complete amateur. I love learning more about all things beauty (hair, skin care, healthy living, etc.).

I’ll be starting college at the end of the month. My goal is to earn a bachelors degree in business. From there, I will try to pursue a job somewhere in the beauty/ makeup industry. I’m not entirely sure exactly what I want to do yet, but I’m hoping to find my niche soon.

I believe that a person should never stop seeking knowledge. There is always more to be learned. Even if you aren’t into makeup, nails, and other girly things, I would be happy to accept any advice or critique’s you may have to offer.

I’d love to hear back from anyone who reads this! Just a simple comment even. Tell me about yourself:) And maybe even let me know certain topics you would eventually like for me to cover in my blog?
